Lecture 2: Nuclear Technology 101

This lecture provides a basic introduction to nuclear energy for non-experts: binding energy, neutron physics, thermal vs. fast reactors, uranium and thorium fuel cycles, enrichment, reactor types (PWR, BWR, graphite, fast, and MSR), safety tradeoffs, and a brief overview of fusion.
